Tuesday, March 26, 2024 - 8:44am to 9:06am
Global industry is studying or deploying methods to decarbonize process heating. The electrification of process heating is one way that various industries are deploying or exploring as a method to decarbonize their processes. Shell and tube heat exchangers currently utilizing fossil fuel heated steam or hot oil is the main topic to be explored in this presentation and paper. Electrical heat exchanger replacement system examples and design will be explored. The topics explored will include materials, thermal design, mechanical design, electrical design and safety features.
