(8c) Operational Excellence in Ethylene Production Leveraging Digital Solutions

To run an ethylene plant longer, safer, and greener digital solutions play a crucial role. In today's market conditions with low or negative margins, digital solutions are specially needed to improve overall profitability and sustainability of the operation. Digital solutions can be deployed to optimize the performance of cracking furnaces or light ends fractionation, monitor pumps or cracked gas compressors, monitor, and optimize overall plant’s energy consumption, or calculate and report associated emissions at an enterprise level. In this presentation we will review several real-life examples of applying digital solutions in ethylene production and the value they have created.
