(4a) Tower Doctor(TM) Service from Koch-Glitsch: Solving Challenging Tower Problems

The TOWER DOCTOR^TM service from Koch-Glitsch provides technical assistance to solve complex problems in operating units in various industries. This presentation will showcase two examples were these services were utilized. The TOWER DOCTOR^TM service team recently worked on a petrochemical tower in the US that was experiencing problems with capacity and efficiency. The team used CFD Studies, Gamma Scan and CAT Scan data, simulation support and on-site assistance to quickly identify the root cause of the problem. Equipment and installation services were provided to get the tower to where it is running very well. In another project, the team worked on a refinery tower in Europe that was having capacity and separations limitations. In this project, the team provided simulation support, gamma scan procedures and analysis, equipment and installation support. The tower now works well.
