The Chemical industry is more than just research and product development--it’s also about business; and unless you have been living under a rock for the past year, you have heard at least something about the conflict between Airgas and Air Products and Chemicals, Inc (APCI).

It's Chemistry Professor Martyn Poliakoff's birthday and his friends and colleagues at the University of Nottingham have given him a special gift: the smallest periodic table he's ever seen. And possibly the world's smallest.

"Process Safety Management for the Biofuels Industry" is a training program that was developed by the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), a Technology Alliance of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers under a “Susan Harwood Grant” from the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).
