Dr. Ran Xu selected for the 2023 Young Leader Award

[December 23, 2022] Dr. Ran Xu was selected as the recipient of the 2023 Young Leader Award. The award will be presented at the AIChE Annual Meeting to be held in November 2023, in Orlando, Florida, USA.

S. Joe Qin

Dr. S. Joe Qin is currently Chair Professor, Dean of the School of Data Science, and Director of Hong Kong Institute for Data Science at City University of Hong Kong. In his prior career he was the Fluor Professor at the Viterbi School of Engineering of the University of Southern California, Endowed Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and Principal Engineer at Emerson Process Management.

Pamela Cai

Pamela (Pam) Cai is a 5th year PhD student in chemical engineering at Stanford University co-advised by Prof. Andrew Spakowitz and Prof. Sarah Heilshorn. She combines theory and experiments to investigate the essential physics within biopolymer-based materials and leverages the physical understanding to inform disease treatment and engineer better biomaterials. She was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2019 and the Stanford Bio-X Interdisciplinary Fellowship in 2019.
