Jordan Baumbach

Jordan Baumbach is a research biologist in the Synthetic Biology Tools branch at the Army Research Laboratory. The branch works on developing synthetic biology tools mainly for non-model organisms. Her research focusses on developing and implementing tools for filamentous fungal organisms. Jordan received her Ph.D. in Genetics from Iowa State University Department of Agronomy. Her research focused on the molecular genetics of soybean-fungal pathogen interactions.Read more

Stephen Sarria

Stephen Sarria is the Process Development Lead in Manus Bio, Augusta where he leads the development of upstream and downstream processes for the production of natural products. He earned his B.Sc. in Biology and Chemistry from Southern Polytechnic State University and then went on to earn his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology, with a focus in strain and enzyme engineering for biofuel production. Shy Shoham

Shy Shoham is a Professor of Neuroscience and of Ophthalmology at NYU School of Medicine, and co-director of the NYU Tech4Health institute. His lab develops photonic,  acoustic and computational tools for bidirectional neural interfacing. He holds a Physics BSc (Tel-Aviv University), a PhD in Bioengineering (University of Utah) and was a Lewis-Thomas postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University and faculty at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
