Young Suk Jo

Young is the founding CTO of Amogy, leading development of ammonia-based energy storage solution for decarbonization of heavy-duty transportation and stationary power generation. Amogy demonstrated the world-first ammonia-powered mobilities, including drone, tractor, class 8 semi-truck, and recently on a Tugboat.

Chandra Tucker

My research focus is on developing methods that allow researchers to acutely perturb biochemical processes, in real time, with fast, reversible, and tunable control. A focus of our work is the development of tools that utilize induced protein interactions that can be activated by light or chemicals to control downstream cellular processes and a variety of protein assemblies and activities. These tools include CRY2-CIB1 photodimerizers and CRY2olig and BTBolig, tools to induce protein oligomerization. The DEI Taskforce comprises members from the CRE community. Members nominate themselves annually by contacting a member of the taskforce and are elected by the taskforce. Current initiatives include mentoring and highlighting and honoring members of our community and adjacent communities. Mentoring We hold an annual mentoring program that pairs graduate students (mentees), postdocs (mentors or mentees), and professionals (mentors).
