Raymond “Randy” Freeman is Principal Engineer and founder of Safety & Property Protection Consulting of Houston, Texas. He has more than 35 years of industrial experience in reliability, risk analysis, safety, process design, control system design, and risk management in the chemical industry. He has been an active member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Center for Chemical Process Safety Quantitative Risk Assessment Subcommittee since 1986. He has helped publish several CCPS guideline books including the Guidelines for Chemical Process Quantitative Risk Analysis and the CCPS LOPA book. He is the author or co-author of over 40 peer reviewed technical publications.
Dr. Freeman is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, an Emeritus Member of the Center for Chemical Process Safety and was elected a CCPS Fellow in 2007. He is a registered professional engineer in Missouri and Texas.
