YPC Technical Programming at 2015 AIChE Spring Meeting

AIChE Spring meeting and the Global Congress on Process Safety are coming up quickly at the end of April, and there's plenty of programming aimed at YPs scheduled for this year.

On Monday there is a panel session about planning an early career as well as a panel about Process Safety Management Careers with professionals and YPs on the panel.  There are also sessions in the Refining Topical covering process controls, and sessions in the Separations division that serve as a general overview of Separations.  Finally, there are some basic sessions in the Process Development Division (PDD) and a session about getting your PE from the Management Division.

The sessions available Tuesday are more focused on the Global Congress on Process Safety (GCPS), the Environmental Division, and PDD.  There will be sessions concerning the basics of Process Safety Management and talks outlining incidents that caused people to realize the importance of process safety due to an incident on site (The day PSM Hit Home).  The Environmental Division will cover Environmental Issues and Controls in Select Industrial sectors, which is chaired by two YPs.  Industrial sustainability is covered in a few talks by the Process Development Division.

Wednesday also has plenty of sessions that may be of interest to YPs.  There are several talks about Shale and Oil Processing in the Refining Topical, as well as Gas processing Fundamentals from the Gas Utilization Topical. The Management Division is sponsoring a session on Professional Development, and GCPS is covering Big Data as well as a session about historical and recent industrial accidents.

We hope to see you there!
