Mr. Connolley has over 39 years of Process Safety experience. He is a Certified Safety Professional, experienced in the Management of Process Safety and Safety & Health Programs. He brings multi-site and multinational experience providing leadership and technical support in Process Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, and Site Security Programs. Mr. Connolley is skilled in a wide range of state-of-the-art Process Safety management, hazards assessment, and testing techniques. He has led Process Safety assessments of new and existing production units, process computer control systems, pilot plants, laboratory facilities, and chemicals transportation. His expertise includes Process Hazard Analysis, Consequence Analysis, Facility Siting, Quantitative Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, and Auditing on chemical, petrochemical, and downstream oil facility processes.
His experience in operating companies has seen him as a corporate process safety engineer, Safety & Health Manager (including process safety) for North America chemicals operations, and most recently as the technical authority for QRA and building sitting in BP’s downstream businesses, accountable for overseeing, reviewing, and approving site QRAs, siting analyses and site buildings plans and programs. He is currently a Process Safety Group Manager with aeSolutions. He participated in numerous CCPS guidelines subcommittees, and currently serves on the CCPS Reactive Chemicals Subcommittee and the API Facility Siting Revision Committee to update Recommended Practices 752, 753 and he is a CCPS Fellow.
