Dr. Seshu Dharmavaram has been a long-time contributor and participant in Process Safety venues, most notably the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) and the AIChE Safety and Health division, including the Loss Prevention Symposium Committee. In 2020, he retired from DuPont/Corteva. He now works for Air Products, focused on process safety in the Green/Blue Ammonia and Green/Blue Hydrogen global supply chains. He was elected AIChE Fellow in 2017.
He is a recipient of the Bill Doyle award, in 2024, for his GCPS conference presentation entitled: Red Squirrel Tests – Air Products Ammonia Field Experiments. His committee work, for CCPS, particularly around reactive hazards management has been particularly insightful, and Seshu has been an active contributor in loss prevention for more than 35 years, with multiple publications and presentations.
Seshu holds a BTech (ChE) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, an MS from University of Oklahoma, Norman OK, and a PhD, from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana IL.
He has had a CCPS Process Safety Certification (CCPSC) since 2015.
