Abstract:
LOPA (Layers of Protection Analysis) is more popular in the process industry, especially in determination of SIL (Safety Integrity Level) for SIS (Safety Instrument System). When using LOPA, the Tolerable Risk Criteria for single risk scenario has to be pre-defined. This paper presents a simple method to define the Tolerable Risk Criteria.
