Relationship Between Minor Events and Process Safety Management

Abstract: The survey, analysis, disposal and learning of minor events from the past experience play an important role in verifying and improving process safety performance, which can also prevent the major accidents from happening. By means of collecting and analyzing the cases of minor events and accidents, this paper concludes the occurrence rule of different kinds of accidents. Meanwhile, it also devotes efforts to find and demonstrate the relationship between the primary causes and the elements of PSM. Some improvement approaches are also put forward.
