Abstract:With the growing demand for LNG, Zhuhai LNG terminal project plans to construct a large LNG storage tank group. In order to ensure its safety, the rationality of layout design is analyzed respectively from storage tank fire separation and tank farm quantitative risk analysis.According to NFPA 59A-2009 standard, using PHAST software to simulate accident to determine storage tank separation distance, it is considered that the current tank spacing should be further adjusted according to scope of accident; DNV SAFETI software is applied to conduct quantitative risk analysis for tank top pool fire and pipeline leakage jet fire, and receives personal and social risk chart for tank farm, it is thought that tank layout planning is feasible though compare with risk standard, also can take safety measures to make risk level as low as possible considering factors of costs and benefits.
