The Study of Suppression Effect of Porous Material for the Flame Spreading in the Tube

The suppression effect of porous material for flame spreading in the tubes was studied by experiment. The experiment got the law of the suppression effect when the size of the porous material changed. The results of the experiments indicate that the porous material can suppress the blame wave effectively, and when the size of the material changed, included the length and the thickness, the suppression effect also changed. This paper can give the theoretical foundation and an effective guidance of the fire explosion suppression.
