The New Corrosion Control Technology of Oilfield Equipment

Abstract: With the application of enhanced oil recovery, equipment corrosion problems become increasingly acute. Equipment corrosion affects the normal operation of the device and brings about a series of related problems. In solving these problems, new method on oilfield equipment corrosion control was proposed, comprehensive control method, combining oilfield equipment corrosion characteristics and traditional methods. This method will reduce the loss of control by corrosion effectively. Nanophase anti-corrosion coating, biological corrosion probe and cathodic protection technology are currently being used to retard corrosion in some advanced countries and proved to be with significant efficiency.
