Research on Forecasting Accidental Consequence of Hazardous Materials Leakage

Authors

In this paper, the SLAB model which can predict accidental consequence released from hazardous material fast and accurately is proposed and developed. Using the model, the research on simulating the single and multi-source leakage is both realized. Then taking a case study of chlorine respectively, the downwind time-averaged concentration distribution in the corresponding conditions is calculated. Combing with the toxicity criteria, the influenced areas of accidental consequence at different toxic level are presented. Meanwhile, with the work of discussing the influenced factors and significance, it shows that the effects of leakage rate, environment wind speed,  atmospheric stability on accidental consequence are most obvious, followed by the effects of ground roughness and environment temperature, and the effects of leakage area and environment humidity can be  nearly negligible.
