Several environmental accidents happened in Brazil and in the world during the 70's and 80's. This strongly motivated the preparation for emergencies in the chemical and petrochemical industries. Environmental accidents affect the environment and the communities that are neighbor to the industrial facilities.
The present study aims at subsidizing and providing orientation to develop Emergency Planning from the data obtained on Quantitative Risk Analysis, elaborated according to the Technical Standard P-4.261/03 from CETESB (São Paulo Environmental Agency). It was observed, during the development of the research, that the data generated on these studies need a complementation and a deeper sight, mainly evaluating the data from consequence analysis, so that it is possible to use them on the Emergency Plans.
