Formulation of a Specific Pattern of Operational Safety for the Industrial Plants of Biodiesel

Initiate in Brazil starting from July of 2003 the National Program of Production and use of Biodiesel - PNPB inserted, small, medium and great companies in the activity of biodiesel production originating from different segments of the industry, such as fertilizers, cosmetics, vegetal oil refining, among others. This fact caused a heterogeneity form of operation of the industrial plants, mainly, when we observe the aspects related to the safety and to the environment. The model adopted by most of the companies reflects a politics, brought of other segments of the industry, presenting focus to the economical aspects with little knowledge in advanced safety programs. This work has the general objective of developing a model of safety operational fitting to the characteristics of the biodiesel plants in operation in the country. The final product presents a group of actions seeking the formulation of a specific pattern of operational safety, with emphasis in the permanent accompaniment of the activity, for future application in the industrial units, assuring an appropriate trust degree to the business of biodiesel production.
