This article shares risk management experience to the process of critical scenarios in Brazil and will emphasize the role of corporate governance and leaders in performance and high-risk management scenarios. The paper will outline the relationship between industry and the leader in Health and Safety and line leaders in promoting and developing the criteria, concepts and practical application of process safety management and leadership for senior executives within the industry.
A training program and training focused on preparing leadership in process safety management will be discussed, as well as approach the necessary training in process safety for all functions in an organization based on the skills required and the level of responsibility and risk of each Function.
So we present the array of skills and process safety skills required and the direct correlation with the potential for accidents.

The communities have enjoyed the vast benefits that chemicals, oil and gas industries can bring and has brought to people's daily lives. Similarly, we all recognize that we do not live in a hazard free environment and risk scenarios and sometimes mistakes are made or the unexpected happens, leading to accidents and also the adverse environmental impacts. Lately society has become less tolerant of avoidable accidents and events, especially the catastrophic and especially when it shows that were caused by negligence and lack of attention to risk management.
Approach and called attention to the leaders at the top of the business management to the need for high standards of corporate governance and communication regarding safety management for industrial units.
Leader, the Risk Management is your job and your responsibility production units, power generation and other units with hazardous products and critical systems involve complex processes with inherent risks and that require careful security management. The measures necessary to control these risks safely are also complex and not always easily understood. Serious accidents can not only provide impact on its profitability but also can completely destroy your business and put your company out of the market.
Major incidents in recent years have shown that the consequences for the capital costs, profitability, insurance costs, image, credibility and commitment shareholder value can be dramatically affected. So why take the risk? The entrepreneurs and senior executives should not keep the knowledge of the risk scenarios most restricted to experts within your organization. Leaders must know them and their decisions and actions must have a direct relationship with the level of risk within your company.
