Thermal Reaction Test and Analysis for Isoprene

Isoprene is an important material applied in the rubber industry, and has been extensively studied in application, but safety research is scarce for this substance. Therefore, the lack of safety information has become a concern. This study focuses on hazardous properties of isoprene by thermal analysis that contains thermal polymerization of isoprene and exothermic characteristics of isoprene mixed incompatible substances by DSC. Results of this study can be provided to engineers to avoid accidents. Isoprene has flammability and instability hazards, if isoprene is exposed to air and then comes into contact with fire it will induce fire and explosion. Thermal analysis was carried out for isoprene and mixed with incompatible substances. Guidance of hazard prevention was completed in this study.
