IMPORTANT: Upon reviewing the extended abstract and presentation slides, the Session Chairs will give you approval to upload your final version of the extended abstract to the conference website (Confex) so that it can be included in the online proceedings. By submitting your extended abstract to Confex, you are agreeing to submit your content to the conference proceedings. If your institution or company requires legal review of your conference paper or presentation for the public, you are obligated to obtain such permission before uploading your extended abstract/presentation.

NOTE: If you want your presentation slides to be included in the proceedings, please include your slides together with the extended abstract in a single/combined PDF file (not mandatory).

Extended Abstract Upload Guide:

• To upload the final PDF version of your extended abstract, you may log in here using the email address and password that you have set up in your AIChE profile. 

Registrations

• All presenters must register to attend the conference.
• Special discount available to max 1 speaker per presentation. Other speakers can register at standard rate. Please note that the discount only applies to confirmed oral presentations.
• Speakers must register before September 1, 2024 to access the speaker discount. Please note that the speaker discount only applies to confirmed oral presentations (not alternate presentations or posters).
• Onsite registration available at higher cost.
• Information about registration fees here. 
• Please contact customerservice@aiche.org if you have any questions or issues regarding your online registration (i.e. billing, account login, etc.).

Important Due Dates for Oral Presentations:

• July 15: Email a draft of your extended abstract to your Conference Chair(s)
• July 29: Email the presentation to your Conference Chair(s).
• Your Conference Chair(s) will provide comments in regards your extended abstract and presentation before August 12
• August 26: Final day to email your Chair the revised PowerPoint presentation. Presentations should be created using the LACPS PowerPoint template and are encouraged to be created in English.
• August 26: Final day to send the Session Chairs a summary of your Bio, (no picture needed). Send only 1 slide (per presentation, including all the authors in the same slide), using the LACPS PowerPoint template provided.
• September 6: Final day to upload the PDF version of your extended abstract in Confex (including the presentation slides in the same PDF file is optional). By uploading your content to Confex, you are agreeing for the information to be included in the conference proceedings. Please ensure that your Session Chairs approve the final version and any legal reviews are finalized before the information is uploaded to Confex.
• September 13, 2024: Online registration deadline. Please note that onsite registration fees are considerable higher, than online registration. We encourage all speakers to register as soon as possible.
• Conference Date: September 18-20, 2024. Remember to Register for the LACPS!

DIGITAL POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES:

• Digital Poster Template
• You will be assigned 10 minutes total in an specific time slot to make your presentation. Make sure to finish in ~7 minutes to allow for any questions.
• Please prepare one digital poster following the technical specifications and using the LACPS digital poster template. 
• You will have the opportunity to prepare an extended abstract which can be included in the conference proceedings. Although it is not mandatory for digital poster presenters, we encourage to submit your extended abstract and share your work.
