Radiation Risk and Safety Progress Improvement

Radiation sources are used in several sectors such as medical, industrials, and at laboratories. Now days, the world is moving to build more and more nuclear power plants for generating electricity and the risk of radiation accident is also increasing. In the gulf countries, the general public is not fully aware about the risks associated with radiations, related affects and types of protections. Moreover, there are potential risk and threat associated with using of radioactive materials. Through my presentation, more highlight will concern for the radiation risk and safety progress improvement which will highlight the radiation progress improvements and type of radiation protections through different eras, in light with the major events and incidents happened. The presentation will also throw light on different types of radiation protections for radiation workers, users and the general public. The importance of radiation safety culture as part of protection from radiation hazards and how to improve upon it. The presentation will also highlight the way forward for gulf countries for improving the quality of radiation protection, as well as the safety and security of radiation sources with improved monitoring.
