Inspiring Process Safety Leadership - The Executive Role

This video is comprised of interviews with the executives in the chemical industries and their experience with process safety to prevent incidents and improve safety following a process safety incident. It is intended to be used as a basis for developing an internal briefing session for top management and Board members on Process Safety issues. Alternative uses of this video include seminars by industry groups and executive-focused, short courses by universities.

The included audio-visual materials are provided to assist knowledgeable process safety professionals in holding seminars to brief their executives about the importance of top management’s participation in process safety programs. One of the primary outcomes of the seminar is to provide a solid foundation for fostering an open dialogue between the senior and executive managers and the internal staff responsible for process safety matters. The materials are designed to engage executives with information from their industry peers and educate them about the benefits of integrating process safety into all levels of the organization.
