The objective of the presentation is to describe the processes by which the National Carbon Capture Center facilitates testing of third party technologies under realistic industrial conditions. Insight will be given on the procedures used for evaluating the developer’s technology to meet industrial and governmental carbon capture goals. Requirements for the execution of a test plan and the process by which developers may incorporate their technology into the program will be discussed. Other topics to be considered are important concepts for successful contract negotiations, reporting requirements, and commercialization strategies. As the goal of the National Carbon Capture Center is to accelerate the deployment of emerging technologies, it is critical for the industry to understand the challenges faced when scaling up so that future tests can be successful.
