Connecting of 540kW PV Solar to Grid

The PV solar System become one of the Oman national strategy as 2030, will be 30% as renewable , this paper will present the connection of 540kW of PV Solar to the grid at 415V distribution system , which was planned to reduce the consumption bill of the Ministry of Oil and Gas (MOG) , and to improve the power quality to the connected load. The paper will provide techno economical studies and will be presented through a power simulator. The paper will provide the challenges and opportunities for connecting this system to the grid, and highlights the current situation of Oman renewable strategy and requirements.
