Alexandre Bellot

Project Coordinator
LMG Marin

Alexandre Bellot has a Master of Science in Marine Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Maritime and a Master of Law in port and maritime law from the University of Le Havre. Currently he holds a position of Project Coordinator at LMG Marin with a special focus on system engineering and zero-emissions propulsion vessels as part of his Ph.D. project in “Model based optimisation of ship energy systems in application of restraining environmental regulations and energy efficiency requirements” jointly supervised by the World Maritime University (IMO) and the Ecole des Mines de Paris (PSL University). Alexandre Bellot has been coordinating and developing projects at LMG MARIN involving hydrogen fuels (gaseous and cryogenic liquid) for passenger vessels involved in public transport and service boats for inland shipping. His specialization provides inputs to naval architecture projects for efficiency optimisation of systems and model-based assessment of technical options for machineries and propulsion sets. As a coordinator he participated to HAZID workshops and risk analysis for hydrogen systems as alternative risk-based design, with regard to maritime codes and European inland navigation rules. In addition to the relevant profession of system engineer, Alexandre Bellot has experience of maritime operations and safety management of energy processes as former Merchant Marine Officer (deck and engine officer) on LNG and oil tankers.
