Derek Miller is Process Safety Director For Air Products. He has been with the company for 38 years and has wide experience across a number of technical functions. As Director, Derek has responsibilities across all aspects of Process Safety Management, but one of his passions is consequence modeling. He has written a number of papers on gas dispersion, vapor cloud explosions, jet fires and pressure vessel bursts, often in collaboration with others in industry. Over the last few years, he has focused in particular on hydrogen safety, learning from incidents, test programs and advanced modeling. Derek has a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University, UK.
