Mr. Gambone received a Bachelor of Engineering degree with Great Distinction in Metallurgical Engineering from McGill University in 1987, and Master of Applied Science degree in Metals and Materials Engineering (specializing in carbon fiber composites for aircraft structures) from the University of British Columbia in 1991.
Mr. Gambone is the Director for Hydrogen Storage at Nikola Motor Corporation, responsible for the design, qualification and testing/homologation of the high pressure compressed hydrogen fuel system onboard Nikola’s fuel cell electric vehicles. Mr. Gambone is the convener of several ISO/TC 197 working groups covering international standards related to hydrogen fuel containers (ISO 19881), thermally activated pressure relief devices (ISO 19882), and hydrogen fueling connection devices (ISO 17268). Mr. Gambone is a member of the Hydrogen Safety Panel (HSP) as a technical expert, a Registered Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, and a Fellow of Engineers Canada.
