Ton van Wingerden has been involved in hydrogen projects for 36 year. He was responsible for technology support of the gas cleaning units of the two coke-oven gas (60% hydrogen) plants in the Netherlands, coordinated EU research into methane steam reforming for fuel cells, did studies on state-of-the-art on hydrogen injection into natural gas grids, feasibility projects for offshore wind production in ocean space and far shore options including Power-to-Gas conversion, hydrogen pipelines and maritime transport. He is convener in TC 6 of CEN CENELEC on hydrogen applications and safety and was a member of the hydrogen consultation network of Arnhem.
