Abraham A. Kister is an undergraduate junior studying chemical engineering at Univ. of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he has been involved in the local AIChE chapter. Throughout his time in university, he has partnered with Fluor’s subject-matter experts Henry Kister and Garry Jacobs as a voluntary research assistant on their parting box testing project. In this project, Abraham led operation of the test rig, conducting measurements, contributing test ideas, and interpreting the data. He coauthored and served as a presenter of the team’s publications at the recent AIChE Distillation Symposia. He spent the summer of 2020 interning at the Valero Wilmington Refinery, and looks forward to continuing his chemical engineering education.
