Adam Whalley is a Professional Engineer that has 22 years of experience designing, operating and commissioning pilot plants, demonstration plants and modular systems in a wide range of industries including hydrometallurgy, pulp and paper, specialty chemicals, terephthalic acid production, hydrocracking, propylene oxide production, and a thermo-biological process to produce ethanol. Adam currently focuses on providing value to clients as the Director of Business Development for Zeton Inc., a world leader in the detailed design and fabrication of modular lab, pilot, demonstration and small production scale plants for the chemical process industry. Past roles include technical consulting in paper chemicals, project engineering and project management in the design and fabrication of modular plants, as well as business development. Adam’s modular design and fabrication experience provides insight and sets the foundation for his analysis of the essential factors engineers and managers need to consider when deciding to build a plant modularly or in place. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto Chemical Engineering program and the Ivey Business School EMBA program.
