Ahmed Khogeer has 29 years of field experience with Saudi Aramco in petroleum and petrochemicals fields covering refineries, lubes, Facilities Planning, Executive Staff, Research & Development, New Business Development, and Project management. He has been a member of Aramco project management for 15 years and is PMP (Project Management Professional) certified.
Dr. Khogeer is a founding member of King Abdullah University Of Science And Technology (KAUST), a leading university in the world, and a founder of YASREF refining complex, founded alongside two US organizations.
He holds four degrees with a PhD, Master’s and Bachelor’s in chemical engineering, and a Master’s in Business Administration. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and certified Consultant Engineer in Saudi Arabia - the highest engineering certification available in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Khogeer holds a strong international presence, being the first Arab Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), the first in the world outside of the US to receive AIChE's Fuels and Petrochemicals Distinguished Services Award, first in the world outside of the US and youngest member of AIChE's Fellow’s Council, and is a vice chair of the organization's Fuels and Petrochemicals division.
Some of his additional activities include being a member of the chemical engineering advisory board for two Saudi universities, a member of Saudi Building Code review committee and has served as the Vice President of a private family business for 20 years.
He is included in the "WHO'S WHO 2005 Chancellors List", an elite honor review.
