Dr. Alison Schroer received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2016, where she worked with Dave Merryman studying mechanobiology of cardiac fibroblasts and cardiac remodeling. Since 2017, she has been at Stanford University working with Dr. Beth Pruitt, Dr. Jim Spudich, and Dr. Dan Bernstein studying mutations in myosin which cause hypertrophic cardiomyopathy using human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes in engineered platforms.
