Ah-Hyung (Alissa) Park is the Lenfest Junior Professor in Applied Climate Science of Earth and Environmental Engineering & Chemical Engineering at Columbia University. She is also the Associate Director of the Lenfest Center for Sustainable Energy. Her research interests include carbon capture, utilization and storage, sustainable energy conversion systems, particle technology and multiphase flows. The specific on-going research efforts of Park's group include the fundamental studies of novel Nanoparticle Organic Hybrid Materials for application in CO2 capture, conversion and storage, synthesis of engineered carbon-neutral filler materials as a means of carbon sequestration and production of liquid fuels from biomass and solid municipal wastes with integrated carbon capture technology. Park received a number of professional awards and honors including the NSF CAREER Award in 2009 and James Lee Young Investigator Award in 2010.
