Allen has over 10 years of consulting experience including more than 8 years in transformational change (design & implementation) across a range of manufacturing and service industries including CPG (food production), heavy industries (steel, smelting, mining), automotive, and aerospace.

Allen has deployed a reliability centered maintenance system across multiple plants of an integrated steel manufacturer, resulting in the adoption of best-in-class processes, reduced maintenance spend, and significant improvements in OEE. He led the implementation of digital manufacturing system across network, increasing OEE by 10-20%. He led the team that implemented a standardized management operating system across geographically disparate divisions at US manufacturer, replacing legacy systems from acquired companies, and managing quality, delivery, and cost improvements

Allen also performed full operations diligence for 20-site manufacturer (PE client, industry confidential), shifting the investment thesis from commercial growth to operational excellence and creating value capture plan, including CapEx, resources, and financial projections

Allen obtained a BASc in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and a Masters in Talmudic Law from Jerusalem Torah College. Prior to McKinsey, he spent 6 years supporting performance transformations with other consultancies.

Allen is married with three children, all boys.  When not coaching their youth hockey teams, he can usually be found with a book on theology or planning his next bass fishing trip.
