Dr. Pawar is a Group Leader of color cosmetics at Momentive Performance Materials. In his role he is driving the innovation through development of new polymers for make-up and skin care. His research is instrumental and focuses on understanding interactions of cosmetic ingredients in formulations and developing their correlations with consumer benefits.
Dr. Pawar obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the City University of New York in 2004. During doctorate studies Dr. Pawar developed techniques to fabricate patchy colloid particles with controlled patch size and demonstrated their application in autonomous phoretic motors. After graduate studies, he did his post doctorate studies at P&G, understanding droplet microstructure effects on their coalescence.
