Amelia Smith is an undergraduate at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GT) from Macon, GA. She is a biomedical engineering major and social justice minor. She is actively involved in the National Society of Black Engineers, African American Student Union, GT Student Ambassadors, the Xi Alpha chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, and Georgia Tech’s Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering’s Community Diversity and Inclusion committee. During her time at GT Amelia has interned with Procter and Gamble, Cepheid, and Beckman Coulter Life Sciences in research and development, manufacturing, and operations roles.
