Anahita Williamson

Dr. Anahita Williamson serves as Director of the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute at the Rochester Institute of Technology. In this role, Williamson leads NYSP2I’s statewide research and technology transfer efforts in pollution prevention, sustainable design and life cycle engineering. Anahita and her team provide comprehensive pollution prevention resources to companies across New York.

Dr. Williamson has extensive experience in the field of environmental engineering, including manufacturing process modification for improved material recovery and reuse, design for the environment and LCA.

In 2012, Dr. Williamson was recognized with the Environmental Quality Award through the EPA and in 2013 with RIT’s PI Millionaire Award. 

Anahita holds a B.S in Chemical Engineering and M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, all from Clarkson University.
