Andrew Lenzen received his appointment to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent in 2000 and he was assigned to the Miami Field Office. He was part of Miami’s National Security Branch where he investigated cyber intrusions and counterterrorism threats. His work received international attention to include a fugitive investigation targeting one of the most wanted terrorist subjects. Additionally, Mr. Lenzen was a certified Hostage Negotiator and an operator on the Hazardous Material Operations Team.
Mr. Lenzen was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent in June 2007. He worked in the Bureau's Counterintelligence Division and was responsible for managing export law violation cases with a counterintelligence nexus. In March 2009 Mr. Lenzen received a promotion to the Tampa Division managing Orlando’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). As the Orlando JTTF Supervisor, Mr. Lenzen was awarded the FBI’s High Impact Leadership Award. Also, Mr. Lenzen was the crisis management coordinator managing command posts and special events. Currently, Mr. Lenzen manages the Infragard Program and cyber investigations in Central Florida.
Mr. Lenzen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and a Master of Science in Telecommunications from St. Mary's University in Minneapolis.
