Dr. Angela Coxon has held various roles within Discovery Research at Amgen, focusing on
advancing and enriching Amgen’s innovative Research portfolio. Prior to this role, she was Head of
Oncology Research, where she was responsible for the discovery, validation and preclinical
development of a broad range of oncology therapeutic targets using multiple modalities.
Dr. Coxon received her D. Phil in Molecular Biology from the University of Oxford and pursued
postdoctoral studies in vascular biology at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s
hospital. In 1999 Dr. Coxon joined Amgen, where she has contributed to the development of
numerous oncology therapeutics.
