Anil Mehta

Anil is currently a Sr. Res. Scientist in Dow Chemical, leading process improvement and problem-solving in Dow’s amines, chelants and glycol ether plants.  He has over 30 years of experience and a proven track record in all phases of process R&D, design, engineering and commercialization of new technologies, leading multifunctional multi-geography teams, commercial scale problem-solving and delivering results. 

Anil has done process development work for a wide variety of products such as epoxy resins, phenol/Acetone, propylene oxide, butylene oxide, hypochlorous acid, epichlorohydrin, ally chloride, acrolein/acrylic acid.  He played a key role in the successful development and commercialization of Dow’s hypochlorous acid production process, the only one of its kind in the world and development of several other processes such as glycerine to epichlorohydrin, amines decolorization etc.  Over last several years, Anil has successfully led solution of long-standing problems in several of Dow’s commercial production processes. 

Anil has 3 external publications, 12 US patents granted, over 70 scientific reports internal to Dow Chemical.  He is a certified six-sigma green belt project leader.  Anil graduated with Bachelors of Technology with honors in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, India and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
