Anish Dighe is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) under the guidance of Dr. Meenesh Singh. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the University of Pune, India. His research is focused on understanding fundamental processes involved in the process of crystallization. The aim of his research is to create a computational framework that can yield significant insights into the crystallization process to improve crystallization screening methods. The scope of his research spans organic molecules, as well as the metal and covalent organic frameworks. His work has helped in unifying the experimental and theoretical observations in the field of crystallization. The passion for mathematics and computation drives the research done by Anish. His research is also acknowledged by the College of Engineering at UIC, where he has received Provost’s Graduate Research Award (PGRA) and Award for Graduate Research (AGR). Apart from research, Anish enjoys hiking, tennis, and Indian classical music.
