Anjan K. Tula, PhD, is currently an assistant professor at the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang Univ. (Email: akt0027@auburn.edu). Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering at Auburn Univ. His main expertise is in the area of process systems engineering. His current research interests include development of computer-aided methods and tools for property estimation, process-product synthesis, design, and control. He received his BE in chemical engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Univ., India, and MS from Lamar Univ. He joined the water research and development wing of General Electric as a technologist working on R&D initiatives on cooling tower and boiler technologies. He received GE’s Young Engineer Award in 2012 as well as various GE management awards. He earned his doctorate under Rafiqul Gani at Technical Univ. of Denmark in 2017. He has published over 20 papers and book chapters and delivered more than 40 presentations at international conferences.
