Aparna Akula is a scientist at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (Chandigarh, India) working in the area of computational instrumentation (Email: aparna.akula@csio.res.in). Her research focuses on embedding computational intelligence into sensors and systems. She is also involved in research projects involving infrared and visible imagers and seismic and acoustic sensors in condition monitoring and disaster management applications. She has a bachelor’s of technology in electrical and electronics engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal and a master’s of technology in advanced instrumentation engineering from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research.
