Arne J. Pearlstein

Arne J. Pearlstein, PhD, is a Professor of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the Univ. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Email: ajp@illinois.edu). His research interests are in fluid mechanics and heat and mass transfer, and he is currently focused on fluid/structure interaction and mass transfer in isothermal and nonisothermal flows. He has a longstanding interest in the modeling of chemical systems, including kinetics and mass transfer in electrochemical, photochemical, and photopolymerization systems. Pearlstein received his BS, MS, and PhD in engineering, all from the Univ. of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
