Barry McGeough is a Senior leader of fortune 500 companies in the footwear, apparel, and technology sectors and has spent his career developing innovation led product and category oriented growth strategies for some of the worlds most iconic outdoor and performance brands, been granted multiple patents, created award winning footwear and gear, and worked to develop pioneering connected and wearable devices with Outdoor and Olympic athletes at both The North Face and Speedo.
His work as an Innovation leader led him to build engagement models to drive both internal and open innovation solutions for new functional fiber, sustainability, solving for ocean plastics, true circularity, apparels’ growing relationship with Tech and the IoT to meet the demands of the new data driven consumer centricity, developing and implementing functional processes to deliver consumer-back, full value chain innovation.
As Strategic Partnerships Lead at Googles ATAP division, who’s vision is to create seamless and intuitive hardware and software solutions he worked to create unique branded UX and UI solutions that usher the worlds most iconic apparel, accessories, and enterprise brands into the next generation of ambient computing.
Most recently he has joined Wolverine Worldwide as Global Vice President of Innovation to bring all his product and process experience to grow iconic brands like Merrell, Saucony, Chaco and Wolverine to amplify footwears’ evolution into new polymers, green chemistry, circularity and sustainability, and the digital transformation of product, process and consumer experience.
