Ben Adler is a postdoctoral researcher in the Doudna lab studying how diverse CRISPR-Cas biochemistries impact phage infection and how to leverage these activities to unravel the diverse genetic content they encode. He obtained undergraduate degrees in Bioengineering and Biochemistry/Cell Biology at Rice University, followed by a PhD in Bioengineering at UC-Berkeley/UC-San Francisco in the Arkin lab. Outside of the lab, Ben is an avid home cook, origami-ist, and chili pepper gardener.
