Benjamin Haslund-Gourley is an MD/PhD candidate at Drexel Univ. College of Medicine. He is currently entering his second year of the Microbiology and Immunology Program and is developing a novel glycan-based assay for acute Lyme disease. In addition, he serves as Health Outreach Executive Advisor for the Narcan Outreach Program at Drexel College of Medicine. After the overdose death of a close friend, he has become a passionate advocate for education and harm reduction approaches to combat the opioid epidemic
