Bradley Houk is a senior engineering advisor with ExxonMobil Research and Engineering. He has more than 30 years of experience in the refining and chemical industries. Most of his career has been focused on control and optimization. Since October 2017, Houk has been the program manager for ExxonMobil’s Open Process Automation R&D program, which is leading the development of an open process control architecture. Previously, he led the global rollout of a new modeling and optimization platform and applications used for feedstock selection and production planning at ExxonMobil’s refineries and basic chemical plants. During his career, he has worked in R&D, engineering, and manufacturing roles. He was a critical contributor to the growth of model-based constraint control applications before moving into program leadership. Houk has a chemical engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
